About iMAP

The Intercultural Music & Arts Project (iMAP) is a Scotland-based non-profit making organization, a collective of composers, performers and artists who are developing innovative ideas in the arts as well as advocating the importance of cultural diversity in the future of creative arts in the 21st century.
The group has worked in partnership with artists and institutions in providing workshops and modules for creative music courses, including the intercultural music series (2005-06), supported by Big Lottery fund.
The iMAP Ensemble has performed in events including the Tsunami Appeal Concert at SECC, Glasgow (2005), Silk Mountain in collaboration with the Paragon Ensemble (2006), Musical Integration in collaboration with the University of Edinburgh and the 3rd International Festival of Middle Eastern Spirituality and Peace (2006), Musical Silk Road at the National Museum of Scotland (2006), and new music composed by iMAP’s director, Kimho Ip, for the Stellar Quines Theatre company at the Edinburgh International Festival (2005).
