'The Goddess' at Cinema China 07

In March 2007, iMAP musicians have collaborated on a new and exciting project, namely the soundtrack and live music with the screening of the silent film 'The Goddess' for the festival "Cinema China 07" in Edinburgh.

'The Goddess' is a historical black and white silent film made in China in 1934. The leading role was played by the actress Ruan LingYu, who was a star in her time and has become a legend since. Maggie Cheung, the special guest of the Cinema China 07, who has interpreted the role of Ruan LingYu, was present at the premiere of the new soundtrack of the Goddess at Edinburgh Filmhouse on 10th March 2007.



Below is a sample of this soundtrack. It is a piece called "Shir Hatan".
